As a teacher of Kinesiology workshops, I love to help 'spread the message' about how much we can do to help our own health and well-being and that of our families and communities. I think that one of the biggest leaps of consciousness of the 21st century is people becoming more and more aware of the power of their minds and the wonderful self-healing abilities of their bodies. But health is also so much more than smooth physical functioning of our bodies. Even in times of physical illness we can balance ourselves and live our lives to their fullest potential in any given circumstance - living up to our true nature as spiritual beings in a physical body.
"MANY LITTLE PEOPLE IN MANY LITTLE PLACES DOING MANY LITTLE THINGS CAN CHANGE THE FACE OF THE EARTH" (African Proverb)
Touch for Health (TfH) has been taught since 1974 in over 55 countries and is still growing in popularity. It's founder, John Thie D.C., was one of the first kinesiologists. Many forms of Specialised Kinesiology developed from it. Traditional oriental techniques and new western research come together in a unique system to balance ourselves on physical, mental and emotional levels. It's core consists of a sequence of gentle muscle tests which give an overall picture of a person's energy flow. A rich variety of simple yet deeply effective techniques is learned to be used with family, friends and in communities or as additional tools for health practitioners.
We will learn to:
Touch for Health consists of 4 weekend modules of 15 hours each, which can be taken separately or in succession.
TfH Module 1 has no prerequisite, whilst the others are in sequence to the course before.
Practise night a couple of weeks after each weekend included.
Completion of each weekend leads to Certificate by the International Kinesiology College IKC.

Developed by world-renowned kinesiologist Dr. Wayne Topping, Wellness Kinesiology uses gentle muscle assessment and body awareness to identify the stresses to our system. Stresses that can lead to problematic conditions and even serious illness. Stress has been identified by science as the cause for about 95% of our health problems. In Wellness Kinesiology classes we find out about the theory of stress and how it relates to our lives and health according to modern research. We then learn how to perform simple muscle tests to directly pin-point individual stresses and how they relate to our organ systems, meridians, energy centres, muscles, life situations. The next step is to apply deceptively simple yet deep reaching techniques in order to defuse these stresses and so release our inherent self-healing powers.
All courses are accredited by the Topping International Institute.
In this course we are being introduced to the scientific research on stress, problems related to stress and to some of the simplest, most effective stress release tools available. Many different ways to de-stress our lifes, to reach our goals and maintain mental and physical health are covered.
We will learn:
Two simple muscle tests as a biofeedback method - Clearing tests - The Theory of Stress - Emotional Stress Release Technique - ESR with finger mode and eye rotations - Our two brains: the scientist and artist within - Statements to isolate difficulties and to get new direction - The Temporal Tap to tap in and reprogram the subconscious - Anchoring - Reactions to Extinction - Goals - Time Management - Pro-Con Issue Diffusion - Exercises: testing the optimum for each person - Exercises for neck, shoulders and lower back - Cross-Crawling for brain integration - Progressive Relaxation - Deep Breathing - Nutrition and stress - Testing for food and environmental sensitivities.
15 hours, no former experience required, but TfH 1 beneficial
Practise night a couple of weeks after the course included.
Whilst emotions in their varying forms and expressions are a natural part of our existence, we can sometimes experience getting 'stuck' in certain emotional states. In this course we also look at the model of psychological reversal as researched by Psychologist Dr. Roger Callahan.
We will learn:
About phobias - About addictions - Compulsive behaviours - How to overcome these problems using the Callahan method - How to recognise when you are sabotaging yourself - How to overcome psychological reversal - The law of five elements: creative and control cycles - Emotions relating to the law of the five elements - How to defuse 'stuck' emotions such as phobia, temper, rage, hostility, embarrassment, mournfulness, grief, guilt, loneliness and depression - Applications.
15 hours, prerequisite Stress Release 1+2, TfH 1+2 beneficial.
Practise night a couple of weeks after the course included.
Biokinesiology research discovered numerous reflexes in the body that relate to internal organs. We can circuit localise these to determine which are out of balance, then bring them back into balance by infusing positive and defusing negative emotions that are specific to each organ system. In this way we are able to balance our physical body by mental and emotional means.
We will learn:
The positive and negative emotions that relate to the 20 major meridians - Prioritising the emotions (and meridians) - Specific response locations - How to balance the body through the emotions - Doing a Touch for Health 14-muscle balance using gamma-1 or gamma-2 muscle monitoring and emotional corrections - The more mode - Deliberately stressing the system for a longer lasting correction - Eliminating pain by working with emotions.
15 hours, prerequisite Stress Release 1+2 and TfH 1. TfH 2 beneficial.
Practise night a couple of weeks after the course included.
